Southeast

Southeast Neighbors is a very large neighborhood that is primarily south of 30th Avenue and east of Willamette. We are very spread out, with a lot of forest and walking trails. Many of us enjoy the beauty of the woodlands and hills, while we also work with the challenges.  There are many individual sustainability projects, as well as school gardens, green club at Spencer Butte middle school, and the Edgewood Neighborhood Garden at Edgewood Pool. http://edgewoodneighborhoodgarden.org

We have had (not just) bike tours in the past three summers, each visiting a small area of the neighborhood so we can walk, share ideas and get to know a part of our neighborhood better.

There are two wonderful biking/hiking/walking/running trails in South  Eugene-the Ridgeline and Amazon Creek trail systems. Friends of the Ridgeline and Eugene Parks held a Ridgeline celebration day in April, 2011. Watch for opportunities to enjoy and support the wild areas in our neighborhood.
