Community Climate and Energy Action Plan

February 4, 2011
6:00 pmto9:00 pm

The Eugene City Council has asked for a Community Climate and Energy
Action Plan. A key aim of the plan will be to reduce total, current,
community-wide, fossil fuel consumption by 50 percent by 2030.   We are
working with many community partners, and we need your input and support!
You are invited to participate in a public forum to discuss Health and
Social Services on February 4 from 6p.m.  to 9 p.m. at the EWEB main
office in Eugene.  Our question: “As we look at climate change and rising
fuel prices, what are the most important actions for our community to take
as they relate to Health and Social Services?”  Issues include:

*         Preparing for a changing climate

*         Adapting to the rising cost of fuel

*         Greenhouse Gas Emissions

*         Fossil Fuel Use

Go here for background materials on Health and Social Services as they relate to climate change and energy concerns.
If you know you will be attending, please send an email confirmation to  matt.a.mcrae@ci.eugene.or.us
